New York

6 posts in this topic

I looked at doing a Cunard crusie to New York a few years ago but decided against it in the end and went for the Mediterranean.  We looked at Cunard and did look at a hotel package.  Theres a few they do that you can choose from but at the time we were interested cause there was an offer on the Marriot Marquis, a hotel they seem to use a lot.  You can book your own though and just change the flight i think

I think cunard offer about 4 or 5 different hotels which can be exoensive. theres loads of hotels in New York which are easily booked online yourself, as long as its somwhere central to Times Square, Maddison Square Gardens or Broadway you will be fine. Try not to go too far north of Central Park and not too far east or west, so stay within about 9th Avenue and Maddison Avenue. It can get a bit 'rough' on the outskirts.

I would say you need to do your research.  You need at least 3 nights to see the place properly and if you do a package you will get all your transfers included.  Saying that, there are so many hotels in New York you have a lot of choice and transfers are not too hard or expensive to do on your own.  Have fun!
