I know many members are looking forward to their forthcoming cruises on Ventura so have rushed through my review of the port of Genoa.

Personally I thought it a great port to visit and would have no qualms going back to see some of the places in more depth.

The HoHo bus fare was €15.00 per adult with 10% if you had kept your previous HoHo ticket.  ;)  ;)

when we did the ventura fly med genoa - venice in jul , alot of people said not to get off the ship in genoa, howveer we did anyway and we had a lovely hour or so looking round the harbour area and then the main steets and back streeets. very nice time. not the best port but has some interest and nice walk around.

We called at Genoa for the first time on a Princess cruise last Sept/Oct and the walk from where the ship docks to the harbour area was ghastly and very uninteresting and for those with walking distance a fair walk. The area around the harbour was OK and we thought the town was very uninspiring and wouldnt want to rush back there again.

All the more reason to take my advice and use the HoHo bus.

It is, after all, a working dock.
