Divers In Mexico

6 posts in this topic

Many years ago I did a cruise covering mexico, we stopped at mazatlan and accapulco.  What I remember most is the divers, diving from the top of cliffs it was amazing.  Has anyone out there seen them or know if they still do this?

Hi showgirl, yes you are right, p&O used to do a journey from barbados to acapulco and then vice versa, the divers were in acapulco and it was easy to get a taxi old style volswagen beetle) from the port to the hotel overlooking the cliffs and if you were there early enough a table & drinks to. I know they havent repeated this for a while as acapulco suffered from  increased crime and a few problems so I think it is 5 or 6 years since theyt last did it.

I remember the yellow beetle taxi's.

I'm thinking it was in Acapulco we had to walk the line of pesky sellers/taxi drivers. We only went out for a stroll
