Hi  I have copied a list of the speciality restaurants recommended by the Cruise Critic forum.  Have you tried any of them and do you agree with their suggestions and which others do you think should be added?

Aqualina Seafood/Mediterranean Azamara Guy's Burger Joint American Carnival Tuscan Grille Italian Celebrity Silk Road Japanese Crystal The Verandah French Cunard Remy French Disney Pinnacle Grille Pacific Northwest/American Holland America Ocean Blue Seafood Norwegian Red Ginger Seafood Norwegian The White Room French P&O Sabatini's Mediterranean Princess Prime 7 Steak/Seafood Regent Jamie's Italian Italian Royal Caribbean Restaurant 2 Mediterranean Seabourn Le Champagne French

Silversea

I have only dined in three of these (Aqualina, Le Champagne and Silk Road), I was impressed by the first two but the food served in Silk Road wasn't to my taste whereas I did enjoy my dining in Crystal's other speciality venue (Prego's - Italian) much more.

We have just returned from a Celebrity cruise where we paid for speciality dining before we left only to be offered discount every night on board (up to 50% some evenings). We asked for discount to be considered retrospectively but we're politely told "no way". I know leaving it until you are on board may mean disappointment or not getting the day/time you want but, when you are a party of 7, 50% saving is a lot of money.

Hi  Thanks for the information, I'm sure many of the forum members will take heed of your information and only book once on board.

I never book nil I am on board. If I am out of luck then so be it as there are always other opportunities on other days. We like to book to eat outside so there is little point booking in advance as you do not know what the weather is doing. The company in the MDR also makes a difference to our decisions.
