What Song Are You Listening To Right Now?

29 posts in this topic

Went to a dance the other night and the song that has been struck in my head since is 'Memphis'. Have not heard it in years. I lived there in the 70s.

Long distance information, give me Memphis, Tennessee / Help me find a party that tried to get in touch with me / She could not leave a number, but I know who placed the call / 'Cause my uncle took a message, and he wrote it on the wall…

Listening to lots of things from the 70's at the moment. We are celebrating our Ruby Wedding soon and having a big house party, so my OH and I are putting together some playlists for the Sonos.

Frank Sinatra (especially 'I've got you under my skin') and lots of big band music. We're having dance lessons and love the foxtrot and lots of music from that era just seems to suit that dance.

Country music really gets away it.

The "women's libbers" are still reeling from "Stand by your man".

Shouldn't have mentioned country music!  Not my favourite genre, but now I have 'All my exes live in Texas' in my head.  On one drive to Florida we went through an area where all the stations seemed to play country music and that song was on repeatedly.  Such sexist music!

Having seen Freddie Flintoff at the weekend so it has to be Johnny Cash with Ring of Fire.

Anyone who's seen the show will now be smiling!!!!

Cruise chef.... " Burn, burn, burn the burning ring of fire..."

I know exactly what you're talking about
