Hello. I sailed with Carnival a few years ago on The Carnival Pride, a brand new ship at the time. The food was great, including lobster tail in the main dining room. Mostly American passengers, the ship was not stuffy or staid but 'fun'. It had a more relaxed and less formal ambience than perhaps other lines but most dressed up for dinner when the occasion called for it. I suggest you seek more recent reviews of this line to give you a more up to date picture.
