Bridge of Spies.

2 posts in this topic

This "cold war" thriller from Steven Spielberg is broadly based on true events from the 1950s, and may well provide Mark Rylance with an Academy Award for best supporting actor, for his role as a Russian spy brought up in the north east of England.

These were times when we faced the dangers of nuclear annihilation, but generally most places were safe if you abided by the local rules. Now the larger dangers have been reduced, but so many places that were once safe are now carrying risk. How the cruise lines would yearn a return to the old days when the dangers at every port of call could be classified in simple terms.

I have this on DVD and started watching it the other night but got bored about 15 mins in.  I may go back to it and stick it out.  The new Rocky film and Quetin Tarrantino films are both amazing, glad Stallone got a golden globe for it, he is really good
