Sundeck Cabins Arcadia

8 posts in this topic

These cabins are new(ish) to Arcadia.  Anybody experienced them?  They are (obviously) very high & should afford fabulous views, but could be a bit unstable.  Thinking of 36 nights Hong Kong to Singapore. Thanks.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

In relation to your question the only answer that I can give is that on my first ever cruise I was on Artemis, a ship a lot smaller than Arcadia. I had a balcony cabin at the front and it was very bouncy for want of a better description.

In relation to Arcadia I have been in the crows nest which is near to those new cabins in bad weather and there is a lot of movement. I personally would go for something like D deck which is where I usually go for a balcony and mainly towards the rear end. Don't go for E deck rear as you will get a bit of vibration from the engines.

At the end of the day it is personal preference and I am sure that others will have their own views.

I know I am late in replying to this but I just wanted to add my opinion. We have been in a cabin on the sun deck for our last 4 cruises on Arcadia. We would not go any where else. It is so convenient close to the Crows Nest for that pre dinner drink. Only one deck above the pool area, and no you cannot hear the music in the bar once in your cabin. I also can add that I don't find the movement of the ship on the high deck any worse that on the other decks we were on before in the sun deck cabins were added.

We had a cabin forward on C deck, again last minute booking a few years ago and had no problem with extra movement. Just enjoy the cruise. I suppose it all depends on how good a sailor you are.
