fluffy pets

5 posts in this topic

As most topics are of a serious nature how about a bit of light hearted banter. How many of you take a fluffy toy with you on your cruises ??

My wife and I have been cruising since 2009 and on our first cruise on Oceana we took along with us a 'Gordon the gopher' hand puppet and a 'David Beckham' soft toy. These were left on the bed and in various other parts of the cabin. Our cabin steward joined in the fun and re positioned them. Since then we have been on another 9 cruises on different ships and have taken the puppets with us. Most of the stewards have joined in with the banter and to be perfectly honest they too have a sense of humour whilst working such long shifts. If by doing this we have given them something to smile about then it was worth the banter. Come on fellow sailors don't be afraid to show your compassion for your fluffy friends. I promise not to tell your family and friends lol

I don't take one with me but I do buy a teddy on board usually wearing the ships jumper & sit him in the window so we can wave to him when we go ashore.

We have 'Madam la Dickie Bird' in our car who has nested there (well in any car we have owned) for the past 20 years. We purchased her in France, hence the name, and she has travelled with us ever since.
