ready for another cruise

1 post in this topic

We last went on a P and O cruise on Oriana in July for three weeks with our two friends. We had a great time, we love Oriana been on her once before. The weather was beautiful, the ship in great shape even though it is going in for a revamp, it felt very homely and inviting. We Like the Cinema Chaplins on board waS great for hot days, or after going to later in the afternoons, or late at night we caught up on all the lastest films which was a bonus.. The shows with the Headliners at first seemed the same as other cruises, but we went anyway and really enjoyed them. The songs had changed and varied things, just goes to show you should try again, not judge, something I usually do.

The food was excellent as always, the staff are really helpful, even when something was'nt on the menu and I asked I got it, now thats service.

Cabin steward was very attentive, great being able to make a drink in cabin when required, again only had to ask once for more tea and milk, it was filled up with lots more each day, and the chocolate on pillow every evening a lovely touch.

Wakeing up every day in a new city, breakfast made for you, no washing up and then back to cabin for bag and cruisecard to get off the ship. Great days on shores, back on ship, up to buffet for lunch, then no problem getting sunlounger, swim, afternoon tea.. exhausted, ha! This is the Life. I thank our lucky stars that we can cruise its something I never thought we would be doing. We have only been cruising for 5 years when my husband retired, so I suppose times limited now as health and money has something to do with it. In all we had a great cruise again lots of good entertainment on ship, si ngers, groups, comedians, vocalists, musicians classical such a variety, lots to do during the day and night. Go the the Theatre, then go for Dinner, then Casino, Cinema, Show or just a drink in a bar or up to The Crows Nest, decisions decisions oh my. Now been home 6 weeks, ready for a cruise, so lucking to another I think its now an addiction so miss all the attention, food, entertainment, and lots of lovely company, if you share at dining you meet some lovely people. OK they might be bragging about how many cruises they've been on, or which Suite there in, take it with a pinch of salt, just enjoy everyone is different, priority for things different, and also you might learn something about how to save money, who to use for parking etc...

Just go ahead an try a cruise, its addictive, thats what we did..
