All Day Long...

6 posts in this topic

After telling everyone on here this morning that we are hoping to sail in the Norwegian Getaway, we are now wondering if we will be able to join her, my husband had lesion on the liver diagnosed in May he had keyhole surgery in September one night stay in hospital no painkiller other than paracetamol.

He received the all clear 2 weeks ago a[although there is a small lesion still there but not doing anything and will be having an eye kept on it.

I tried to get insurance cover for him today I mentioned the cancer and told them what they needed to know, all of a sudden they are now classing his type 2 diabetes as a medical problem alongside the liver and my Lloyds bank won't insure me.[ I have been with them for years]

The number of companies I have tried today you wouldn't believe, all refused except one who is sending me a form to give to my doctor , they [ the doctors] say he is cured[ no secondary cancers] but they the insurers still won't insure him, anyone know any different? CG

Try contacting Miatravelinsurance.co.uk they are very good for people with chronic conditions and were recommended by holiday Which magazine.

They are very good. Hope this helps.

Good evening CG

Try http://www.insurancewith.com/ppc/medical.html?gclid=COXDm6iCxLoCFVMRtAodOkIAnA . I got their name from the Macmillan website. I've used them in the past and they are very accommodating. It was set up to assist people with cancer. They ask a bit more than just "Have you got/had cancer" - e.g. is it under control.

Worth a try.

cheers

Harvey

At insurancewith: we aim to provide people with security and peace of mind so that they, and their travelling party, can relax, unwind and really enjoy their holiday in the knowledge that that their medical condition is fully understood and covered. We may not always be able to cover you for your first choice holiday destination, however there may be other alternative destinations where cover is available, so please ask.

Insurancewith: is about more than just insurance. We work closely with the medical charities that support people with pre-existing medical conditions, and in recognition of their support we are donating £1 from every policy sold to charity."

We use the Holiday Extras Latitude Insurance and have done many times. We have pre existing conditions eg. Heart and others . Have always found their premiums to be fair and comprehensive.
