We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. With a sales department consisting of approximately 60 skilled and dedicated individuals, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, overseeing the sales teams, and implementing effective sales strategies. Sales Strategy Development: Refocus on improving core sales objectives and develop and implement effective sales strategies to exceed sales targets. Continuously analyse sales data and trends to adjust strategies as needed.
Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership, motivation, and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a positive and high-performance sales culture.
Recruitment, Training & Development: Collaborate with the training manager in the hiring process for new sales team members. Identify training needs and knowledge gaps across the sales teams. Conduct training sessions to enhance the team’s knowledge and skills. Ensure all team members are adequately trained on marketing materials before launch dates. Conduct exit interviews with any leavers.
Performance Management: Regularly review the performance of team leaders and their respective teams. Provide constructive feedback and implement performance improvement plans when necessary. Establish KPIs and set targets to track performance.
Technology Proficiency: Monitor and track the sales team’s calls, including call length times, outbound and inbound call tracking, and break times. Gain valuable insights into the team’s performance, identify areas for improvement, and leverage call tracking to enhance sales strategies.
Sales Forecasting: Predict monthly, quarterly, and annual sales figures. Collaborate with other departments to meet customer demand. Set departmental targets to monitor success.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales statistics, bookings, customer feedback, and market insights. Present reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing department to align sales and marketing strategies. Liaise with customer service and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with industry regulations, including GDPR and other relevant consumer laws, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.
Incentive Programs: Design and manage incentive programs to motivate the sales team.
Customer Relationships: Handle escalated customer issues or high-value clients. Build and maintain relationships with key industry players.
Conflict Resolution: Skills in resolving conflicts not only with customers but also within the team. Fostering a healthy work environment.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities, and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Always have a pulse on what our competitors are doing.
Call Quality Assurance: Ensure call quality aligns with company standards.
Customer Retention Strategies: Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure customer retention when acquiring new customers. Regularly monitor customer retention rates and proactively suggest improvements to enhance customer loyalty.
Operational Efficiency: Continuously optimise sales processes for maximum efficiency. Propose system improvements to provide the sales team and team leaders with the necessary tools to achieve results.
Goal Setting: Set individual, team, and departmental sales targets in alignment with the company’s objectives.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role.
CRM and Microsoft suite proficiency
Strong leadership and motivational skills.
Excellent knowledge of sales strategies and techniques.
Ability to analyse sales data and market trends.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
