When I first heard about the new P&O and Cunard price promise I did think, if I am honest, well what use is that to me? I presumed I’d heard it all before but having looked into it, it does seem pretty good news. I think a lot of people will be waking up to this thinking well what’s so great about that? But really, there’s actually quite a lot. The amount of times I have called for a cruise and been told only free parking is available not free coach, I often think it’s rather unfair. I understand these deals change and therefore you take pot luck in getting the best offer you possibly can. With the introduction of these new Vantage Fares though, I love that you actually get a choice of a benefit to go hand in hand with your cruise. Myself and my partner always love the idea of getting a little money to spend on board, nobody can say it’s not a nice sweetener on the top and everyone loves to feel like they’ve got a bargain. With this new idea though it’s great that I can choose, I could go for free parking, free coach, on board spending money or even free parking at the airport if we’re off to the Caribbean, that I must say I do like a lot. To be honest, without sounding like I’m getting carried away, it is pretty damn amazing as it’s about time something like this came in. Now I feel like we’re in control over what we want rather than being a bit dictated to. For 2013 I’m now going to look at booking something knowing I will definitely get on board credit or free coach before I even ring up. I don’t know about others but to me that’s good news.
I then started reading on after looking into this whole new idea. After they had won me over with the choice of benefit, they really did bowl me over with this new ‘price promise’ thing they’ve introduced. I was reading it and thinking, hold on a minute, your telling me if I book now and this price goes down I will actually be compensated? Am I reading this right? They’re actually going to give me a benefit should this ever happen? This to me is outstanding news!! I think everyone out there will admit when you buy anything not just a holiday and the price goes down, that feeling in your stomach of frustration is pretty hard to take, it drives you crazy, it’s happened to me and at the end of the day I did actually understand that these fares can change but this is something new entirely. I love the fact that if my cruise fare changed I would get the value of the difference back. Yeah ok it’s not money direct back in my pocket but a free upgrade to a better cabin or a whole lot more on board spending money sounds pretty good to me. At the end of the day I need money to spend on board, especially with my partner as she likes to buy one of everything for memorabilia which you would think by now we’d have enough of. Therefore the idea of this extra on board credit sells me straight away. In short, this new offer is fantastic, I read it, was sceptical, then persuaded and now I think it’s brilliant. It’s about time we as customers had more control and finally we do, get me booked! I just love cruising and now I can keep doing it safe in the knowledge nobody else will get a better deal. Brilliant!!
I always book with Bolsover Cruise Club, they’ve always given me the best service around and I admit I have tried others. People promise you everything under the sun most of the time to get you to book and when it comes to crunch time all of a sudden it all disappears or gets eaten away at by hidden charges like stupid booking fees. That’s why I went back to Bolsover, never had any trouble like that with them, no hidden extras and they even take care of my tickets for me for free, not like others I’ve dealt with. Now I know that this new P&O and Cunard price promise is in place, I can book with the best offer, best cruise lines at the best agents, for me that’s as good as It gets. If I were you I’d pick up the phone and give them a ring, I’ll even give you the number cause I’m always trying to help them out by putting business their way, 01246 819819, trust me, nobody beats these guys.
