This cruise was more for me rather than my wife (she prefers warm weather cruising) to see the sights in Alaska & taking advantage of 2 days pre-cruise stop in San Francisco. We didn’t expect the weather to be great so did find the 23 kg luggage allowance a bit tight due to the clothes needed for all weather types. San Francisco is a great city to go round with plenty to see & do. Airport pick up, hotel transfer & ship boarding was seamless & stress free being welcomed by the Princess rep. The cruise was fantastic scenery & wildlife outstanding. It’s one of the cruises you must do once in your lifetime but don’t expect great weather. On the whole weather was OK but we were prepared. Ship was clean & recently refurbished. Main Restaurant food was a little disappointing to be honest & not what we are used to but I reckon the team got a rocket due to complaints because the last few days saw a marked improvement from the average fare we had earlier in the cruise. We did take advantage to try Sabatini’s which was worth the extra. Overall fabulous cruise but given 4 rather than 5 star because of the main restaurant food otherwise everything else 5 star. We enjoyed it so much we are looking to return to Alaska in the future & make some trips we didn’t get chance to do this time.
