We were on the Aurora going to the Canary Islands. We had terrible weather it was cold and the winds were awful. We had a balcony cabin which we were told they had been refurbished ours wasn’t outside the roof of the balcony was peeling off and very rusty.

We have been on this ship before and enjoyed it but this time the shows were not very good and when we arrived at the ports we were docked in the most faraway places and quite some distance from our buses, there was a lot of elderly people on board and it wasn’t very nice that we all had to walk a long way. WHY did we have to dock in the tattiest of places I don’t know. We are thinking about going on another cruise but not this ship. July 21 -2nd August 2019 .

  • This was our first cruise with P&O we chose the Oriana for adults only and a short journey to see if we would be happy to book a longer cruise with this company. Our journey was 4days Southampton, Guernsey, Zeebrugee, Southampton. The weather was mixed and we were unable to go ashore at Guernsey so we spent 2 days docked in the container dock at Zeebrugee but other than that the standard of service was good.

Our cabin steward was very good, the restaurant service and food were excellent, the service in the self service area was chaotic. Our only moan is that there were too many noisey bars and groups of people on birthday and hen parties. We are not ready for a boat full of oldies yet but would have l liked a little bit more of curtious behaviour.
