An enjoyable first cruise, both on P&O and to the Caribbean. Have to say the Captain was superb, fully explaining what was happening and why he was taking his decisions. These included missing one port because of a flight delay from the UK; an overnight high speed run to an unscheduled port due to a medical emergency and swapping a sea day/port day due to weather.
The ship was very clean and comfortable. The food was very good and drink prices were I thought most reasonable indeed.
The ship was let down by some waiting staff, especially in the coffee areas, where I swear I was wearing a cloak of invisibility. In the restaurant some staff clearly didn’t listen to orders as was borne out by the food delivered not quite being what was wanted. One night the wine provided was completely wrong.
Having said all that it didn’t ruin the holiday. We never had a problem finding a seat, even on sea days. Clearly everyone was fighting over a sunbed. The entertainment was good as were the trips.
I would travel with P&O again. I accept there are better cruise lines but this was good value for money. The price included charter flights with Tui, I was very impressed with the airline.
