This was our 3rd year in a row with MSC, all 7 day Med cruises. The only real criticism (for all 3) is the organisation of getting us back on board or getting on to shuttle busses etc. There is ZERO crowd control so even if it looks like there may be a queue, there is the rush from the back of people assuming they should be at the front or on the ship /...

Never again

MSC Cruises | MSC Lirica

Have sailed with MSC twice before and had no problems. Prefer to be able to leave ship and explore on our own, this was impossible because of the cruise terminal locations except for Khasab. Waited 7 hours for cabin to be changed into a twin. No instructions for use of safe. Food on Emirates flights very poor, especially the breakfasts. On the plus side the shows in the theatre were good and dinner in the...

Not so Splendida now, but still a fine ship and a great crew.

This is one of the oldest ships in MSC’s fleet, yet from experience, its far better than most other companies. There were things which tainted the cruise, as with most. You can’t please all the people…! We enjoyed the food, Yes. Yet the food was not of the standard we have enjoyed on other MSC ships (5), 3 this last 12 months. The Buffet was a free for all, the main dining room was calm,...

A fantastic experience on the ship. Basically everything you need at the touch of a button from booking many items, if lost find your cabin, even better if taken short find the nearest toilet !!! The staff were excellent and answered any queries you may have. Ports of call excursions from them were very good. We think the best part of the calls was Rome where we where in St. Peters Sq. and the Pope...

Great value, great fun
By Ian Cohen on 26 November 2018
MSC Cruises | MSC Meraviglia Reviews

The ship is beautiful and in pristine shape. However, it’s huge, and so feels less like a ship than mid-size ships. The heart of the ship feels more like a luxurious shopping mall than a ship. In that area, you don’t see (or feel) the waves. The entertainment was top class – nightly shows with live music, singing and dancing that were at a level one would pay for at home. There were standing ovations....

Very dissatisfied with this cruise
By Ann McCoy on 08 October 2018
MSC Cruises | MSC Opera Reviews

Most staff unfriendly and never smiled. Hand sanitizer either empty or no one asking people to use them. Mop and buckets left in toilets, don’t usually see that on cruises. Cabin steward- although cabin kept clean never knew who he was other then a name in the cabin, never introduced himself and we never saw him. Food average, not as good as other cruise lines we have used. One plus was the very cheap drinks...

Having always cruised with P&O in the past we found the Lirica MSC cruise sadly disappointing. There were few shops and all very expensive. There was only a half hour show each evening. We were only ashore for half a day at every port of call but one which left little time to see what we wanted and found it expensive to get ashore via the shuttle service. The food was very poor and the...

My partner and I have cruised many times and this was our first time with MSC. We were travelling with family including Grandchildren aged 22, 20 and 11. The MSC Seaside is brand new and everything beautiful. We had 3 balcony cabins which were adequate but small in comparison to other lines we have travelled with. Storage very limited. Shops and entertainment excellent. All staff were mostly helpful and friendly. Main Dining Room. The table...

Our first ever cruise and if our experience is normal we shall never cruise again. Organised chaos from start to finish and if butlins at sea is your thing then feel free to book. Buffet bar was awful pushed and barged out of the way and nowhere to sit. Service at the bars very slow not enough staff Absolute mayhem getting to shore once docked and on two occasions we were charged for Our journey...

First time cruising with this line. It was clean overall. Our room was spacious and had plenty of hanging space for the two of us. We managed to find something we could eat on the menu each night but the menu was not extensive, pasta dishes every night not surprising as it is an Italian ship it but some of those had fish in,.and some of the food unpleasant for example cold by the time...

We had been with MSC last year and again had a great time the staff cannot do enough for you, from the airport to the embarkation MSC staff a very helpful and make you feel relaxed from the moment you step off the plane. Brilliant little cruise

MSC Cruises | MSC Magnifica Reviews

We got a good deal on this 7 day Northern Europe cruise so decided to try MSC, having previously sailed with P&O. Embarkation was quick but I wasn’t keen on the photograph being taken at top of gangway instead of the terminal as it was very cold waiting in line, however, once on board the ship definitely had a wow factor. All the public areas were immaculate, the carpets and furnishings in first-class condition, in...

MSC Fantasia Cruise 13 to 28 March 2018
By Mike McNally on 16 April 2018
MSC Cruises | MSC Fantasia Reviews

Our first trip to the Caribbean and the cruise was an ideal way of sampling what each venue had to offer. Waking up to a different island every day and the quality of the shore trips was a bonus and full marks for avoiding hurricane damage at such short notice. Dress Code was not as strict as we had been lead to believe and we found the daily lifeboat drills disrupted life on board for...

Great ship fails to deliver
By Neil Redfern on 13 November 2017
MSC Cruises | MSC Meraviglia Reviews

The Meraviglia is a lovely ship and all the information we had raised our expectations. The ship itself is wonderful it was the service and food that fails to deliver. The food isn’t of the high standard you expect on a cruise. The portions are small and the menu limited. This is the first time I have struggled in choosing a dish. On the 1st night my wife had chicken, it came as a flat...

Very good on MSC Cruises

MSC Cruises | MSC Poesia Reviews

Lovely ship, staff were all very helpful and friendly. Food was average in MDR the choice in the Buffet was excellent and always plenty of seating available. Embarkment was excellent however thought they were very slow on advising details for disembarkment, but when it was time for disembarkment it was very efficient. Would certainly do again if the itinerary was right.

MSC Cruises | MSC Preziosa Reviews

We went on MSC Prezoiza not being quite sure what to expect, having been on P&O, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity cruises. The only reason we chose MSC, it suited our travel dates, we had read many mixed reviews and thought only way to find out, was to try ourselves. We chose the wellness experience, as the yacht club was full. We are so glad we DID, the ship is awesome, spotlessly clean, not a finger...

Generally satisfied with cruise. One criticism concerns the organisation particularly with regard to final disembarkation. This was amateurish with no noticeable notion of managing people flow in an orderly fashion (eg one-way system, in-door, out-door could all have been employed to improve the passenger experience). The disembarkation schedule was running 55 minutes late, so there was a risk of missed transfers in my case & I had to ask to be let off.

A splendid escape on SPLENDIDA

MSC Cruises | MSC Splendida Reviews

After 3 memorable experiences on MSCƒ??s ships was not at all a surprise that I decided to comeback. This time I was cheating on my first MSC love ƒ??Preziosaƒ? and choose, for a 9 day trip, her sister ship ƒ??Splendidaƒ? MSC introduced the luxurious Yacht Club — where passengers have their separate section of the ship, including a lounge, pool and restaurant — on Fantasia, when it debuted in 2008. Since then, the Mediterranean line...
