Title: Not so Splendida. Summary: My wife and myself have just returned from our third cruise with MSC, this time, around the Med from Genoa and returning to Genoa. The weather was great, the ship was to the usual MSC standard but !!!! 4000 Italians in one small place, it was absolute bedlam. Smoking any where, despite the cruise line threatening 70 euro fines, kids peeing in the pool from the side, the buffet area can only cope with about...

Title: Good trip spoilt by food. Summary: The food was not of expected standard (3*)when compared to Celebrity(5*) or P&O(4*). The service in the main dining room was chaotic on several evenings with guests being allowed to come and go at any time and the dress code was almost non existent. The staff were very helpful and cheerful in most cases, especially in the bars. The entertainment was enjoyable, especially a husband and wife duo-Just Magic. The cabins were fine but the...

Title: Fantasia Eastern Med. June 15th Summary: The ship was too big with several different nationalities so announcements in several languages. It seemed to be the first week of the Italian school holidays so lots of children who were better behaved than a lot of the adults. Little chance of a sunbed or a swim. The buffet at breakfast and lunch was like a football match. Dinner in the restaurant was good as we had been seated with 2 other English couples....

Title: Room for improvement Summary: We were a party of 10 adults and all of us left with a feeling of disappointment due to the lack of service. There was a serious lack of personnel available on our weekend cruise and we seemed to spend for ever in one queue or another. We queued for almost 30 minutes to get into dinner. We queued again in the morning to be seated for breakfast. Once seated, four of us received good...

Title: msc splendida Summary: Joined msc for the 1st time and was pleasantly surprised!! flights from t5 were on time and not full so space to spread out for all, even for a short flight it was entertaining to say the least transferred to Genoa to join the ship, checking in was smooth, very quick and easy. The ship was very impressive, plenty of open spaces, facilities and at no time for a large ship did it seem crowded. The...

Title: Lovely MSC, what a joy Summary: Embarkation was a bit slow at Southampton, but everyone was very nice. Cabins lovely with good range of channels. Food and restaurants outstandingly good, rivaling P&O even. Ships are magnificent. Crew exceptionally friendly and willing, really want to be there and to help you in any way . Only downsides were the small shower and not having baked beans for breakfast ! Everything else fabulous, definitely MSC for us from now on.

Title: Msc armonaia. Never again Summary: We where very disappointed with this cruise,to start off with food in the main resteraunt and around the ship was only warm Small portions in the main dinning and not very little choice on the menu, the only eating area that was good is the pizza guy He makes great pizzas and he never stopped all week, wonder why?. Entertainment on board,we’ll if you like circus acts this is the one for you and that’s in the...

Title: Terrible Summary: Booked this cruise due to itinerary and not wanting to sail from UK. Having travelled with other cruise companies our expectation of MSC was to be of the same standard. Dining on board has always been a memorable experience. Due to the Italian influence we were looking forward to dining on board. How wrong could we be with all our expectations!! We booked two weeks on board and found it unacceptable that we would have...

Title: May-13 Summary: Just returned from a weeks cruise on the MSC Opera to Holland and Norway. Whilst we were impressed with the cleanliness and condition of the ship, the courteous way they helped us on and off with mum’s wheelchair and the standard of the cabins we were a little disappointed in the overall service. If you wanted a drink from the bar the waiting time was anything from five to forty minutes. Our particular waiter at...

Title: MSC Preziosa – Waste of Money Summary: My husband and I have cruised a total of 22 times between us and usually we choose P & O. We did not expect MSC to be the same standard as P & O but we certainly did not expect the poor standard we received aboard the ship. Likes: Excellent ship with lots of facilities (unfortunately you pay for most of them). Cabins are a very good size and extremely comfortable. Check- in process was...

Title: M S C Splendida March 4 – 11th 2013 Summary: East Mediterranean Mature couple – First cruise Likes: The 4 year old ship??s quality of design, furnishing and finishes is amazing. All the staff were excellent in every way and the attention to cleanliness in all areas was reassuring. The food and it??s presentation was very good. We were extremely pleased that we chose a cabin with a balcony. The accomodation was very good but we were not aware, at the time of booking, that...

Title: Passengers on board a recent winter cruise Summary: I have just returned from an early Med. cruise on the MSC ‘Divina’. The enormous ship cannot be faulted but my impression is that MSC low prices are attracting very unsuitable cruise guests. It was more like a floating Butlins Holiday Camp than a cruise! It was a constant scrum with pushing and shoving all the time. In and out of elevators, and especially when going ashore, and trying to get into shuttle buses etc.,...

Title: Western Med Summary: First time on MSC and there are differences. We had a balcony cabin at a very reasonable rate and arranged our own flights to Barcelona. The cabin was large and comfortable and the cabin service good – ice every day after we mentioned it, extra blanket and pillows no problem. Continental attitude to children prevailed, even up to midnight there were very young (in pushchairs) children in all of the bars and everywhere arround ship....
