Title: Great ship, superb entertainment – shame about “The Restaurant”. Summary: Firstly, sincere thanks to Bolsover for their usual exceptional service. First time on Silversea [although having previously completed over 40 cruises] it has taken some time to elicit -why I would choose never to cruise with Silversea again. Upon reflection I put my inspectorial hat on and realised that the aspect of the cruise that was disappointing and certainly not up to par was quite simply – “The Restaurant”. It wasn’t just that food was...

Title: AMAZING SERVICE AND FOOD Summary: Silversea remain our favourite ocean cruise line – staterooms are fabulous and kept immaculate at all times by the friendly housekeeping team. Everything is included apart from trips. The butlers are amongst the best in the world, especially ours “Kannan”. Top class toiletries. No noisy entertainment around the pool, discrete service, every single crew member is the most friendly you can find. Boarding procedures are quick and simple, transfers a breeze. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Title: Good – but not Silversea standard Summary: The ship – due for a refit – was ‘tired’ the usually impeccable Silversea service, while still very good, was patchy. The captain and senior staff more or less invisible (cruise director an exception – he WAS visible) we had many excellent meals – and one or two disappointing ones. So overall disappointing and not at the level we had previously experienced with Silversea.

Title: Silver Muse Venice to Barcelona Summary: Our first Silverseas cruise. Ship was pristine, staff very helpful, food fantastic. This ship is very different as the dress code is dictated by each restaurant and there is not a main dining room. You have to make a booking for each restaurant and if you leave it too late you may not get your choice or time of dining that you prefer. Two restaurants carry an extra charge per person. No shorts allowed for...

Title: Relaxing family time Summary: Date of 9 night cruise – 31August2016. Have sailed with Silversea a few times, but this was only 2nd time as a family – mum, dad, 3 adult children. We were treated by the staff we knew as friends who haven’t met for a long time, which was lovely. All knew about my allergies so advised me what I could not eat. Food was so much better this cruise than last – I am quite...

Title: Rather tired Summary: Silver Cloud is more than a bit worn and is to be retired from her present role and refitted as an ice ship next year. Good luck. We sailed on 2 Feb 2016 from Cape Town for a 10 day cruise to Maputo and back. Previous experience with Silversea left us with a feeling that the Italian ownership was the reason for so much pasta on the menu – and nothing has changed. The cruise...

Title: Great cruise on nice ship but sub standard service Summary: The cruise lived up to expectations except that the food and beverage service was at times shambolic. Food served on deck was invariably cold and orders for food and drink were often wrong. The service in main dining room can at best be described as disorganised and shambolic. On one occasion we were shown to our table to be told that they were busy and we would get no service for at least 15 minutes....

Title: Christmas cruise Summary: I guess cruising is not for me. Not long enough in each place and a bit boring in between. My friends that I travelled with have done it before with Silversea and felt the company had cut back on some things. The lectures were not very interesting and the “shows” we’re a bit samey. The food was excellent and the crew very helpful. I think it’s a particular type of trip for people who aren’t...

Title: The Caribbean and the Amazon Summary: Excellent ship, Service Food and Entertainment. Top class speakers on the several lectures. Overall, very enjoyable Very disappointed at thoughtless flight arrangements by Silversea, partly offset by payment of taxis to and from Heathrow to We would be very tempted to make individual flight arrangements in the future. mildly disappointing excursions, partly due to the low water level in the Amazon Not as good as those on previous cruises on which we hhave sailed. My...

Title: Silversea Summary: Ship and crew all five star could not fault. Food fantastic. Only disappointment was the travel arrangements at each end, no help from staff on land did not get off to a good start but once on ship staff excellent.

Title: Black Sea Adventure Summary: The reason why we chose Silversea Cruises was due to the interesting ports on the Black Sea that we would be visiting. We were particularly interested in Batumi Georgia, where in 1914 my Mother was born, Sochi Russia home of the Winter Olympics, Yalta and Sevastapol in the Ukraine and also Odessa, the port from which my Uncle once, a long time ago, ran a shipping line. Although we did not call at Yalta and...
