Celebrity Millenium- January 2016
Patrick Palmer | August 19, 2016 | Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Millennium
Overall a good cruise and value for money. The level of service in all departments was very good and cleanliness was of the highest order. The standard of the shows in the theatre was particularly good. I would particularly be critical though of the following:-
1) The formal evenings are now called ‘chic’ and that is a mess with all forms of attire being worn by the men- a great shame and it has devalued the formal evenings. 2) No real use is made of the central atrium which could be a central point of focus for meeting people- as with other ships. 3) Very noisy around the pool area when singers etc. are performing- not necessary- this is not a Carnival ship- learn from Cunard. 4) Not enough discipline enforced in regard to the ‘saving’ of sun beds with towels and noisy kids and drinks around the pool area. These opinions were shared by the greater majority of Brits that we spoke to on board and a good number were put off from booking again with Celebrity as a result of the same.
If Celebrity think and claim to be a ‘cut above’ Cunard then they are not. They are on a par with Princess and Royal Caribbean- but that is all.
