No good for children

I have recently returned from a cruise to the Baltic with my three children(18, 14 and 13 ). The ship for adults of a mature age is great but there is nothing of interest for young people and the Kids club was a major disappointment. I am a regular cruiser and have sailed with P and O, Cunard and Thompson all of which cater brilliantly for the children even Cunard which is a major high-end ship which one might not expect to do this as well. One of my children is severely disabled and so the fact that on every other cruise he wants to go in the Kids club and complains when it is shut or we have a port day is a major plus. On this ship he wouldn’t go in and chose to spend meals with us despite the fact that he is tube fed! The waiters were better with him than the staff in the kids club. I spoke to many other parents as I wondered if it was just lack of experience with disabled kids but the feedback was the same their kids had tried it but the staff were authoritarian or as the kids put it ‘shouty’ and ‘scary’. Many kids were banned for so-called bad behaviour others were bored. In addition there was no kids focused entertainment not even an early evening kids disco. For me, this is a deal breaker and so I will not book with Celebrity Cruises again and the only reason I give this cruise 3 stars is because of everything else.
