Although a lot of people we spoke to on this cruise loved the ship it was not the one for us. There was a lack of toilet facilities for the disabled in the public areas – there being nothing on Deck 12 for the Conservatory Buffet venue and also on other decks as well. We felt that it was just too small a ship for us – although for most of the people on board it would appear to be just the right size. We felt that we were quite young (we are aged 72 and 74!) so it will give you the idea of the age group and a lot of the guests talked about was how many cruises they had been on and what level of the rewards club they were at. Having said that we met some extremely nice and interesting people as well and overall enjoyed the destinations.

We did not find the reception staff particularly helpful and all they seemed interested in was looking at their screens rather than making any eye contact to deal with our requests/queries.

Having a major breakdown 200 miles from land was an element which added interest and we must say that the crew, on the whole, dealt with the situation very well and although we were lucky enough to be stranded on the deck with the restaurant, we noted that food was brought to those disabled guests not so lucky.
