Was really looking forward to our cruise to Canada/USA in September. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Having spent Xmas and New Year on the same ship we noticed the standards had gone down. Firstly the food was not as good and the time taken to serve the meals took a very long time. Even when the Dining Room was not busy. We had a few 2 hour dinners.

Secondly the increase in price on drinks plus an 18% gratuities added to the bar bills. It was noted that very few people actually had bottles of wine with their dinner. On previous cruises there seemed to be at least one bottle per table.

Thirdly, very disappointed with the entertainment. Considering we had so many days at sea, the choice was terrible. If it was not for the trivia quizzes there would have been very little to do. It was impossible to get a seat in the theatre as people would get a seat at least 1 hour before the shows. This happened for both sittings.

Although the age group was predominantly 60-80years the entertainment was not guided for them.

The cruise staff were not as welcoming as on the previous cruise and did not seem very happy in their work. There were the exceptions but very few.

Will say that our room Steward was very good and a couple of the Bar Waiters in Explorers Lounge also.

Will seriously have to think before going with this line again.
