P&O Cruises | Arcadia Reviews

From beginning to end of our 24 cruise to New England aboard Arcadia (P&O) we found a total shambles. The muster station announcement disappeared half way through and had to overhead out from a crew member. The ports of call were changed at whim or cancelled because of the weather which of course could not be controlled. The ship broke down for 24 hours in a very uninspiring port of call. Ports were curtailed to 1 day instead of 2 because of this. The ship leaked everywhere. Even the windows. The carpets were wet through. The cabins are in need of a makeover. The food and service were not up to normal standard and I am afraid to say after almost 20 years of cruising, mostly with P&O, it was by far the worst ship for illness and coughs and colds. Husband has been in bed for a week with flu since returning and still far from recovery. A total waste of money. Feel we should try elsewhere next time. Sorry P&O you are loosing your reputation by cutting corners at the inconvenience of the loyal passengers. Take note!

  • There have been several reviews on this voyage and it must have been a terrible experience and so disappointing. I should imagine it was an expensive cruise and 24 days of misery. Apart from the awful weather and the loss and change of ports, the ship sounded to be in a bad condition. I hope your husband soon gets better and that P & O gives you compensation.
