…that was at least the theory! In practise we turned around after Sri Lanka and headed back to Dubai, as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak in Singapore. It was the right decision.
Constellation was lovely & the entertainment was superb. Luigi (cruise director) and his ‘angels’ provided activities throughout the cruise, if you wanted that type of thing. My daughter’s boyfriend (now son-in-law ‘to be’ after he proposed on the cruise, infront of a theatre full of people) loves quizzes and was in his element!
Oman a disappointment as we were not able to go into the Grand Mosque in the afternoon, but seen Muscat before.
Mumbai also a little disappointing and not as much for tourists as I had expected. Lunches were great though on the 2d excursion we booked through Celebrity!
Goa also left a little to be desired.
Cochin was fantastic!
Columbo (Sri Lanka) was a real surprise and we had a great day travelling around it in a tuc-tuc. A much nicer place than I expected.
It is said you find out how good a company is when things go wrong. Celebrity now have an opportunity to prove how good they are! On turning up at Dubai airport for our flights home (booked last minute by Celebrity as we were supposed to be flying from Singapore) it turned out my son was booked on a flight for the following day. I had to purchase a ticket for him at the airport. Claim now sent to Celebrity, via Bolsover, to recover my very unwelcome additional holiday expenses! I hope Celebrity ‘do the right thing’ and reimburse my costs without quibbling. Let’s wait and see on this point.
