First impression on boarding the Ventura was, bright, clean and well presented. The reception (passenger services) were excellent a real fountain of knowledge, that is where staffing changed, waiters were miserable, never a smile and sometimes quite rude., the exception being the Head Waiter in Bay Tree who was very accommodating. Food was average in comparison to other cruise lines. Shore excursion staff were not interested in disabled passengers and were not pleased when told that coaches for wheelchair confined passengers are available in all ports of call on the itinerary. This I know having done the same route earlier in the year with Princess and accessible access was available with no problem. Ventura shore ex staff were just lazy and not interested in providing a service. P&O have a chance to redeem itself as we have booked on the Iona next year. Will see how that compares.
