We wouldn’t cruise on Britannia again. Nice decor. I personally loved the atrium although some of my group did not agree. The lack of midship stairs causes seriously long waits for the lifts. We stayed deck 14 midships and would normally walk up stairs to deck 16 buffet rather than wait but to walk to either end of ship for stairs was impractical. Therefore we had to use the lifts up and down and so did everybody else. On a long cruise this would be a serious negative for us. Restaurant service perfunctory rather than friendly. Had a bottle of white wine over two nights and when it was brought back on the second night it was warm. Waiter didn’t even offer a bucket of ice to chill it. Very unacceptable. Poor choice at the buffet and burger and pizza places on deck closed at 7pm so we were struggling for a late night snack. Poor film and tv choice compared to Princess Cruises. P & O Britannia was a bit of a let down on this occasion, although our cabin was excellent and everything was clean.
