Aurora has recently been refitted to be an adult-only ship. The decor is a classic style cruise ship, very elegant. The main dining room meals were excellent, especially the gala dinners inspired by Marco Pierre White and the executive’s chefs. We eat in Sindhu the Asian speciality restaurant for which there is a cover charge but well worth it, we had the 5-course tasting menu which excellent, and as always in the Sindhu restaurants on board P&O the service was also excellent.
Our cabin was very comfortable and was kept immaculate by our cabin steward.
Entertainment on board on this cruise exceeded our expectations. The Headliners theatre group performed 3 shows that we had not seen before All of which we thoroughly enjoyed, and the standard of the performers were better than we have seen in a long time. Two guest comedians were also very good. The destinations we visited we have been to before and although you dock in industrial ports in the Canary Islands there is plenty to explore in these islands if you go a little further afield. All in all, it was a great cruise.
