Been on several of these short New Year cruises with P&O (and 20 plus cruises in total with them), they are a nice boost to the post Christmas blues.

Embarkation seems to get swifter each time we go, we were on in 15 minutes and cabins ready with luggage waiting for us.

Nice to see familiar staff faces and to be remembered.

Excellent Dance Intructors made the evenings fun such that we only did one of the shows.

Food was fine, although the same menu cycles have been in use now for some years. Portion sizes were variable which we noticed when we were on a nice table & company for eight on New Years Eve, but if you wanted more you only had to ask.

Ports of call the same as previous years, Hamburg fireworks are something else. Maybe P&O could look at new ports of call for a change, perhaps down to Northern Spain & France?

Roll on Britannia in May and the Med.

  • Totally agree with your last paragraph about time P&O woke up, try adding more days visiting different ports instead of the usual, Rome, Venice etc, money spinners for P&O but send cold shivers down the spine and put me off, send me to TUI instead, who have brilliantly added new for them ships, with more different ports of call, fabulous meals and staff.

  • I wonder what’s not to like in my Review?
