P&O Cruises | Arcadia Reviews

By Mike Morris on 08 August 2017

Arcadia is one of our favorite ships in the P&O fleet but it sorely needs a little tlc. It is looking tired and we understand is to go for a partial refit later this year. In our opinion it needs a total refit. Several of the public toilets were broken and at times smelled a lot and we understand this had been the case before we boarded. We also wish the “Headliners” would learn some new shows. We have traveled on Arcadia on a world cruise, been to the Baltic on the ship and sailed on Adonia earlier this year, and the Headliner shows are the same. Just different performers. That said the cabins were clean, the service excellent and the food was always excellent, although the desserts were a little disappointing and sometimes tasteless.
The cruise itself was excellent, the excursions we took were first rate and fortunately the weather was with us. We would recommend this trip. Despite the tiredness of the ship we still love it and we are booked to go on it later this year to America and Canada. Before refit!!
