Britannia Spain & Portugal 6th October – 19th October 2023

The cruise as a whole was excellent as was the ship which we had been on 3 times before. The food and staff were as good as ever. The booking system however for the MDR was a shambles from beginning to end and very frustrating for anyone who wanted to dine in these restaurants. The entertainment, we found, was a very good standard and enjoyed most of the shows.
Valencia was one of the places we had never visited so we were looking forward to this trip. But we were very disappointed. We took the shuttle with many other cruisers and were dropped off 1.7k from the main square. This was stupid as my wife and many fellow passengers could certainly not have managed this long walk. So we had no option but to get back on the coach and return to the ship. However, in the evening, we were told by friends who had gone into the main square by taxi that TUI coaches were dropping their fellow cruisers off in the square. Why might this have been, I wonder when P&O could not do this!!!
However, we have already booked 2 more cruises with P&O so will see how these turn out.
P.S. We were disappointed not to received a copy of the Captain’s Log as per all our previous 19 cruises. Also it would have been nice to see the Captain and his fellow officers visible around the ship!!!
