As wonderful as usual bar some staff attitudes!
Linda Milson | March 4, 2018 | P&O Cruises | Aurora
Aurora has always been our favourite P and O ship for a variety of reasons-food, staff, entertainment, cabin comfort. Our trip to Northern Lights was spectacular with stunning views and great excursions such as husky rides and visiting or staying in an ice hotel! Food as usual was fantastic with a great choice. Entertainment was very polished and professional. Our mini suite was well furnished and comfortable but I think P and O need to improve upon the bathroom decor. This is the third time we have been in a suite and the grouting around the bath has been really grotty with black mildew everywhere! Retouching the grouting is not a big job and it was the only aspect of the suite which let us down. We did notice on this trip that although staff were friendly, they did not go that “extra mile”. The steward did his job but did not even bother to thank us when we left after leaving him a generous extra tip. Librarian was very distant and clearly resented being called away to answer a query! However, these little glitches did not detract from our enjoyment but think it needed mentioning in the hope P and O see this. Full marks to staff in Champions and day entertainment staff especially Karl. Very friendly and approachable.
