Mediterranean cruise
Margaret Clarke | October 30, 2023 | P&O Cruises | Aurora
Weather good until the day before we were due to visit Gibraltar when we hit bad storms which lasted for 4 days until we got to the English channel. Most ports were unsuitable for wheelchair or scooter users. Food on the ship was average. Low sugar desserts were not always on the menu & they were made with Fructose which is unsuitable for diabetics. The first morning I ordered low sugar granola which I discovered was Kellogg’s classic granola which contains 11% sugar. This again isn’t suitable for diabetics. I found that my blood sugars were raised consistently until I stopped eating anything labelled low sugar. Eventually my blood results settled back to acceptable levels. Entertainment was good. Didn’t go to listen to any speakers as they were not of interest to me.. I did go to lectures given by the art expert, Helen which I enjoyed very much..Overall I enjoyed the cruise but I did experience a lot of problems
