Our favourite ship didn’t let us down but………

The Aurora is our family’s favourite ship despite The Glass House. We haven’t met anyone who thinks it’s an improvement on Cafe Bordeaux. Our annual family cruise was a great success, the food was excellent, the service was wonderful, the Kids Club was brilliant, the entertainment was ok but we have had better.
We all know cruises are dearer in August but we’ve had better entertainment in February when paying less per night. Musically Kool Blue, Aurora Orchestra, solo singer/guitarist were entertaining but The Choice were poor. Manuel from Cuba, Gervase Phinn, Scott Quinnell, Maurice Grumbleweed were excellent but others were not up to standard. The activities programme was too crowded which meant items such as Line Dancing and Cricket got left out a lot of days and Tap Dancing was abandoned. Why does Ballroom Dancing get preference over all other types of dancing eg three and four sessions each day.
Since Loyalty and Future cruises merged all they seem to concentrate on is selling cruises. My family love Aurora after cruising on her a good few times, they are very disappointed that from now on she will be Adults Only. When it was mentioned at the Peninsular Club party it was roundly booed by the members there.
