Spain, Italy & Croatia April 15th -May 3rd

This is my 3rd time on Aurora and 6th with P&O, and the cruise itself was great with fantastic ports etc, I loved Croatia, a beautiful country and the highlight for me was Dubrovnik. The other ports and trips I thoroughly enjoyed as well. The food quality seems to have gone downhill a bit and the variety of dishes seem limited. I know they have to cut costs, but things like food is not the way to go about it. For some people that is what cruising is about.
I was also disappointed with the ‘gratuities’ policy in view of the above – £7pp a day, it was a 17 day cruise that’s £119pp added onto the onboard account at the end of the cruise, and when asking for the ‘opt out’ form, the reception person didn’t say anything but her look was enough to make me feel very uncomfortable. I already pay more as a solo traveller and was quite taken aback by her attitude. I prefer to tip face to face at my own discretion not be told I have to pay a certain amount.
