A very tired ship
John Hall | October 15, 2019 | P&O Cruises | Azura
A very tired ship, has the feeling of an outdated and on its last legs holiday camp. Lost count of the number of ‘tribute’ acts, very cheap and not very cheerful. Speciality restaurants have slipped down a peg or two compared with Britannia.
Biggest disappointment was the Ligurian luncheon, as P&O’s top loyalty tier this was supposed to be hosted by senior officers, our host was a young dancer from the Headliners Dance Company, apparently no senior officers were available so the young dancer was drafted in as junior officer, he didn’t understand what was doing hosting a table as he worked for the Headliners Dance Company and was leaving the ship next month to go into pantomime, he tried hard.
Would certainly not travel again on Azura and although four more cruises booked after these we are unlikely to cruise with down market P&O again.
