Cities and celebrations

We visited long desired to see Seville, Barcelona, Pisa, Florence and Rome as well as Gib and Cartagena. With friends we were celebrating WA and two birthdays. Dropped the car off with CPS and as we had already checked in online and we were enjoying a champagne lunch twenty minutes later. By 14.30pm our bags were delivered and unpacked. We dined twice in Sindhu, twice in the Glasshouse and once in Epicurean, Beach House and Limelight Club as we had plenty of OBC to use up as we had prepaid trips and dinner reservations. All the restaurants were very good and Gareth Gates in the Limelight made for a great evening. The entertainment was good with Gareth Oliver the best ( he got me on stage) The crew were friendly and efficient . I thought the waiters and steward might be a bit subdued as this was the first cruise with No Tipping but they were fine and seemed motivated although the steward was knackered as he now has 22 cabins to service.
One downside was Room Service, they were pretty chaotic. On one breakfast they delivered a coffee pot with no coffee in it. On another they forgot the toast but delivered butter and preserves and on Champagne breakfast for a big birthday they forgot 3 items. Great tours with very good guides. A very approachable Captain Dunlop. The Ents Manager was a bit lacking in charisma but tried her best. Despite being 3 hours late in Southampton disembarkation was orderly and efficient. Overall a good cruise and we booked on board for the Canaries in September.
