Gluten free cruising
John Gardner | September 22, 2014 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
Excellent cruise on a lovely ship . Perhaps not as spectacular as the company suggests and the balconies are small , much smaller than on Ventura for example. Storage space in the cabins was reduced as we had lost three drawers to the side of the bed . The catering was good with ample food , well presented but the choice on menus was less than in previous years .Catering for a gluten free diet was , as normal, good with adaptations available for some of the yummier desserts. Cheese biscuits available too!! A grab and go facility at lunchtime was a new initiative that also catered for the gluten free diet. If only it had been advertised and not left to chance for us to discover its presence .
The only downside was a seven hour delay on the return , but this was not P & O’ s fault.
Thinking about booking for next year already !!
