Great balance of sea days and ports
Cat | November 15, 2023 | P&O Cruises | Britannia
I went on the transatlantic repositioning cruise from Southampton to Madeira, Antigua, St Kitts, St Lucia, St Vincent & Barbados. It was 2.5 weeks and a great mix of sea days (9 in total) and ports. As a solo traveller, there were plenty of get-togethers organised for us by P&O, and through them I met some great people. I was also on a fixed dinner sitting with a table of fellow solos, and by the end of the cruise, we were like a family. The timings of activities was a bit awkward (a lot of the dance classes on board were around lunch time, guest lectures around lunch as well) but there was still plenty to do. The staff were friendly and the ship got us through storms to the Caribbean in one piece! A fantastic cruise, would highly recommend, especially for solo travellers.
