Iona’s second cruise
Susan Bayford | August 31, 2021 | P&O Cruises | Iona
The procedures to board were very well run and we were in our cabin (cases outside) within an hour and a half of arriving.
We were very pleasantly surprised with Iona, beautiful decor and facilities and we loved the promenade deck. Much more interesting than the usual straight walk round the deck. There were obviously far fewer passengers and we’re not sure if we would like it at its full complement.
The meals in the main dining rooms were fine but not special – there are some issues to be sorted out and the menu improved perhaps.
Our cruise took us past the Channel Islands but not close enough for photos, the Bay of Biscay calm but no views to look at except, of course, the sea.
We certainly had a good time and wish Iona many successful years of cruising. We look forward to joining her in the future.
