P&O’s VENTURA, a family friendly ship with SMOKING PROMOTED
JORO44 | June 30, 2019 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
As a minor P&O shareholder I was very concerned that on this ship, designated FAMILY FRIENDLY, with some 600 children on board, 50% of the promenade deck was allocated to SMOKERS.
FURTHERMORE, tobacco products were heavily promoted with discounts for multiple buys, as well as being on open display both in a shop and in the atrium.
To cap it all, the ship’s team were extensively highlighting TEENAGE CANCER AWARENESS.
VENTURA proudly displays the Union flags on its bow but the management has totally ignored UK’s law on the visible promotion of tobacco products and the NHS’s guidelines on smoking in the vicinity of children.
