Ventura Spain, Portugal Guernsey
Winston Dudley-Brown | July 22, 2022 | P&O Cruises | Ventura
Where to start with the most disappointing cruise we have ever experienced with P&O and certainly our last.
Ventura is tired, the ships atmosphere is poor The only plus was the entertainment that was good.
The food was appalling. Choices were poor, standard was poor, the service was average but nowhere near our earlier cruises. The Epicurean was closed the Sindu was full according to the app but had many empty seats. The restaurants were closed on shore days. What has gone;
Free soft drinks other than water
No afternoon tea in the restaurant
No silver service in restaurant
Wine waiters with knowledge of wine
No chocolate afternoon, no birthday singing, no chefs parade.
No Staff Officer carrying out daily inspections
No ice carving/champagne fountain
No cookery demonstrations
No photographs/photographer leaving a dead space on the ship
But without doubt the food was the worst experience in the restaurant.
Looking forward to a new adventure finding a real cruise Company not Butlins afloat..
