Elizabeth Holyoake | June 17, 2014 | Princess Cruises | Crown Princess
We hadn’t cruised with Princess for two years and wondered whether the standard would be the same as our previous cruises with them.
From the moment we arrived at Southampton to the time we left we found the staff efficient, helpful and courteous. The cleanliness of the ship in all the public areas was excellent as was our cabin. The food came up to expectation with plenty of choice in the Horizon Court and our evening meals in the Botticelli Dining Room delicious. We went to various Talks in the Theatre during sea days and for evening entertainment. Having visited the Baltic eleven years ago we found something different of interest in each Port and the highlight was The Hermitage in St Petersburg. Unfortunately, we couldn’t dock in Gothenburg and Stockholm but we went to Nynashamn (Sweden) instead which proved a beautiful stop. The efficiency of the staff to get 3000 plus passengers ashore by tender and back again to the ship has to be complimented. It is easy to get around the Ports in the Baltic by Hop on Hop off buses if you don’t wish to take the cruise tours. All in all a superb holiday.
