Clare Bridgwater | March 22, 2014 | Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess
Good cruise overall. Same ship design as crown princess, p and o azura and Ventura. Like the food still but felt the quality had diminished slightly since our first princess cruise 5 years ago.
First time that I didn’t buy any photos on ship as these were overpriced at $20 -$ 25 each and no discounts for quantity. My daughter still prefers this kids club to royal Caribbean s and you can leave the ship with your child(ren) on board which you cannot do on other ships. They had the chocolate on the pillow, but no more towel origami.
One other problem is the power points in cabin. Basically none except 220 volt in shower room. With the adapter which you need to remember to pack, you can slowly charge your phone/ ipod / camera etc. However, this is next to sink, and so obviously not ideally located!! ( the plug in the cabin has the slits in, and I haven’t ever seen an adapter, that can fit that and take the English 3 pin plugs.
Entertainment up to usual high standard, so all in all I’d give the cruise 72% , try it !!
