The Beautiful Baltics

We went on our first cruise last year (2016) from 25th June to 6th July encouraged by friends who have experienced over twelve cruises around the world. We booked on the Regal Princess to tour to Baltics and now we are completely hooked….. with future cruises booked around the Norwegian Fjords this August & the Caribbean next year. The whole experience of the Baltics and Princess Cruises was a joy. We flew to Copenhagen to meet the ship and then had stops at Oslo, Warnemunde, Tallinn, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm before departing back in Copenhagen. Each stop brought a different perspective, with plenty of time to do your own thing or sample planned excursions by Princess; we absolutely loved Tallinn and Stockholm. The culture, the history and the atmosphere around each port visit was a truly memorable experience; we needed and were glad of some days at sea to recover. We had seen a documentary of this particular cruise on TV, but even so it couldn’t prepare us for the level of attention the cruise line went to make our holiday the complete experience. It goes without saying that the standard of entertainment and food was exceptional; we enjoyed evening dining with a group of six which also added to our holiday experience. The Regal Princess had over 4000 guests on board and yet it didn’t feel crammed in contrast were made to feel special. We opted for a balcony and pleased we did, it allowed for some quite relaxing in the evening. What a wonderful alternative holiday cruising offers, as opposed to our normal two weeks around a pool, we can hardly wait for the Fjords and the Caribbean!
