Queen Mary 1945

MSC Cruises | MSC Preziosa Reviews

As I was writing my first cruise was on THE Queen Mary as a 3 year old with my mother who was a War Bride. When we settled in Canada it was on Wolfe Island Nr. Kingston, Ontario.
My next encounter with ships was when my father and mother worked on the Kingston Ferry. This was originally one of the Woolwich Ferries. Dad was crew and Mum was cook. I was entertainment. Dad named me Deanna and thought I would follow in the steps of Deanna Durbin or at least Shirley Temple. I cant remember it but I sang whilst standing on tables.
I deviate the first modern cruise ship was MSC Preziosa. We was told you could get a bargain if you sailed on a repositioning cruise. This we did from Italy to Brazil. Boy oh boy this was to be the noisiest cruise. The constant chatter of Italian and Brazilian families. Our ears rang. At craft club there was not enough chairs and there is nothing more ‘exciting’ than Italians/Brazilians arguing over places to craft.
Never again we said but some time later we had a more sedate cruise on a P and O and like many of your clients we are addicted.
Thank you for giving me a chance in the Win a trip to New York.
