This was the first time we travelled with Regent. Before we went it seemed expensive, but on return it was reasonable value for money. There were many included trips to choose from, equally good, if not better than trips we paid for on other lines. The ship was well maintained, and the staff all friendly and helpful without being too obtrusive.
The food was excellent, although we felt the portions all too large which made a lot of waste. The meat was so tender. There was plenty of ‘free’ alcohol – the cruise price probably reflects the amount available, and we didn’t drink enough to ‘benefit’ from this.
We were disappointed that the included flights were not direct. We thought because we booked late that this was the reason, but everyone we spoke to seemed to have a connecting flight home.
It is likely we will cruise with Regent again. There were more upsides than downsides!
