Ups and downs of cruising.
Paul R Bowes | May 30, 2023 | Riviera Travel | MS Emily Bronte
The start and end of the cruise has been difficult. Actually the start problem was not with the cruise at all, but with the Birmingham airport and Eurowings flight. We were denied boarding the plane because we were held up in the check in and security lines, not our fault but the inefficiency of the airport staff. Eurowings did not help us at all, but denied us boarding and then abandoned us without food vouchers to a 14 hour wait at BHX apt. We got to our ship at 01.00am Tuesday, a day late. The cruise itself was quiet and peaceful with beautiful scenery, especially in Switzerland. Good food and friendly staff, well done Emily Bronte. The flight back was OK but about an hour late, That wasn’t a problem, it was the man sitting behind me on the plane who sneezed his way through the hour and a half journey, and now I have a chest infection that will need antibiotics from the Doctor. Keep taking the tablets!
