Allure from Rome

We travelled with daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren aged 6 and 4. First time on the biggest ship although my husband and I are frequent cruisers. Great ship with lots of things to do. Between us we did zip wire, ice skating, rock climbing and flow rider. Children loved mini golf, carousel, pools and character breakfast with Shrek, Fiona and Puss-in-Boots.
Unfortunately the water was really cold in the H2O zone, so the adults did not enjoy taking the children in the pools there. The main pools were really warm, so we ended uo taking the kids in those instead!
Blue Planet in the theatre was the best show we have ever seen on a cruise ship and we have seen a lot! Aqua shows and ice shows good too. Tell Me On A Sunday show not suitable for family entertainment as only one girl on stage the whole time with orchestra, no dancing or much of a story, although she was a great singer.
Food good in American Icon, My Time dining and also had buffet breakfast in there several times. Found the Windjammer too small for ship size and not easy in a family group. Didnt get chance to use the other restaurants, except Johnny Rockets once and Park Cafe for casual meals.
We loved Central Park area, peaceful and good to sit with a coffee if kids entertained elsewhere. Kids clubs only used twice as too much else to do on board! We only got off the ship in Palma, for an excursion to the Caves of Drach, which the children loved.
Boardwalk staterooms very good. We could see the Aqua Shows from our balcony!
Staff all friendly and helpful, especially our assistant waiter Tiago, who kept the children amused.
Overall, a great experience.
