Family Friendly
Ralph Sherwin | October 23, 2023 | Royal Caribbean International | Anthem of the Seas
The ship was certainly family friendly. In fact the ship was built to be child friendly. I would suggest that the ship was friendly for most people under fifty. The cabin was clean, comfortable and generally quiet. The public areas were very very noisy. Either children running and screaming and/or music blaring out constantly. Finding a quiet place to sit and read was almost impossible. Even the library was noisy because it was an open space next to an entertainment area. The food was quite acceptable but restaurants were noisy. On day one we had to drag all our luggage over the car park. The cabin steward visited only once a day, no evening ‘Turn down’. Meal times and show times were difficult to co-ordinate. We were a party of eight, two great grandparents with three children and their partners. One of our sons and his wife were in a cabin next to the family from Hell. Small children using foul language, shouting and screaming like I’ve never heard before. This was brought to the attention of staff on day two and the ship were unable/unwilling to re-locate my son. I could hear the family from 4 cabins away. As you might imagine, We will never use this cruise line again.
